Counterculture Events-People were frustrated with doing things “the way their parents did them” -College, jobs -Students went on strike -College courses “out of touch” -Hippies started rejecting everything of past generations -Started using profanity, dressing provocatively, using drugs, nudity, permissive sexual behavior -Shock the older generations -Drug addiction increased, STDs increased -Some tried to “get in touch” with nature
